Every quarter we feature a Precision client who has accomplished something great in his or her workout program. Whether it’s achieving a fitness goal (or two), overcoming obstacles like injuries and illness, or just pure progress and commitment, we love seeing our clients succeed! We also love sharing these stories and experiences in order to inspire other clients to keep up the hard work.

PA: What first lead you to Precision Athletics?
MT: The desire to get in shape and build strength was the major motivator. After several searches online and talking to friends, I gravitated to Precision Athletics because of the no-nonsense zero-pressure. It was easy to get started. A week trial and a free fitness assessment made me feel comfortable and empowered to make life changes.
What were your initial fitness goals?
My fitness goals started with losing excess weight and improving my overall conditioning. But like any goal, as you reach it, you realize there is so much more to achieve. The Precision team supports this in a very encouraging way.
Why do you work out with a personal trainer and participate in group fitness classes?
Precision personal training sessions are always great. The trainers fine tune your goals into a realistic training program. When I started it was for conditioning and mobility purposes. Currently I’ve taken on PT sessions with Kaitlyn once a week to become more familiar with resistance training, resolving some limitations and improving body composition. It is fantastic and learning advanced movements and techniques is very rewarding.
Nutrition is also a big benefit of Precision. Jade’s nutritional guidance continues to fit in so well with the foundations of a good personal trainer. A PT and nutritional expert are the best way to achieve meaningful gains.
The crosstraining group class provides a great variation, whether it’s technique, basic lifts or met-con. I enjoy the friendly atmosphere and some healthy group pressure to do my best. David makes you realize what hard work is possible.
What are your current fitness goals?
My current fitness goals are mainly to enhance body composition, improve mobility and muscle gains. Achieving more advanced movements is certainly a major focus. My other main focus is to achieve/maintain a healthy body, including healthy eating habits.
What keeps you coming back to Precision?
The people are great. I learn something every session and every class. And the positive reinforcement is unparalleled.
Way to go, Matthew! We look forward to seeing what else you accomplish this year!
